Spinwell Projects No.3 – The Musette.

July 19, 2010

Brilliant. Spinwell Projects No.3 – ‘The Musette’ is almost a complete batch.

Super happy at the outcome of these, they are exactly how I envisaged. The print looks fantastic, the quality of Hardysan’s stitch-work is amazing and above all it works, the tiny little refinements myself and Hardysan talked about and implemented on this, such a basic item turned out beautifully.

Out very soon! Keep em peeled for more details.

Spinwell Projects No.3

July 2, 2010

It seems like an age since I last mentioned the next Spinwell project but alas, it’s underway. Sourcing the right cloth, finalising designs and liaising with the printer and seamster is hard work, you know!

Anyway, so last night my friend and printer printed up the thirty pre-cut musettes and as always, they look amazing. Next they are off to be stitched up and by one mans hands I might add because as you may know, when it comes to things like this I like to keep things local or as a lot of creative workers say in 2010 “hyper-local”… Whatever that means?

Thanks Dave, they look awesome… Now I cannot wait to see them made up and being used.

Keep em peeled for more info, soon!

Mussette.

January 21, 2010

There is something quite great about a basic vessel that is not technical in the slightest, heck these were originally designed to be slung away after the domestiques had gripped all the food and water out of them.

Every cyclist has one of these and if they don’t then they need one. So with that in mind keep em peeled for an addition to the Spinwell Projects line – Production commences soon!

Mash SF x SAG Interview.

Having met a few years ago in Japan during the Tokyo leg of the Bicycle Film Festival, the last two years have seen a furious exchange of ideas and countless samples as bag makers SAG and world famous fixed gear collective MASH SF set out to create the absolute best riding backpack around. We caught up with MASH SF’s Mike Martin and SAG’s Yoshimasa Onodera as they gave us a little background about both themselves, the bag’s execution and general thoughts on the increasing importance and popularity in riding.

Transient

December 10, 2008

blackfront
blackback

These little pouches are a hit. I personally am sick of either carrying a ruck sack with little in it, jamming my pockets full of mobile phone, cash, wallet, etc or wearing some ridiculous bum bag that makes you feel like your trousers are falling down. In comes transient.
A simple vessel that has loops for your belt to go through and a nifty partition inside. Made from heavy duty Cordura and lined with an 18oz vinyl coated polyester.

Width: 6 1/2″
Height: 4″
Depth: 2″

They are $17 plus shipping and made to order so may take a little while to arrive but I reckon it is worth it. They say the simplest things are often the best.
