Designed to complement the British Country Jersey, the GB Cap is made from a soft, lightweight technical cotton. Featuring a Union Jack-style stripe down the centre, it is highly water resistant, windproof and extremely breathable. The cap is finished with colour-on-colour Rapha logos and the inside is lined with moisture-wicking anti-bacterial tape. A thick elastic fastener holds the cap in place and the cap has a low enough profile to be worn under a helmet. The cap can be folded into a jersey pocket when not needed.

Loving these caps spotted at Lockedcog.

Like a cross between a beretta and a 5 panel these should appeal to the ‘cooler’ younger cyclists among us. If only we could get them over here on our sunny shores of Britain!

Rapha Gentlemen.

September 28, 2009

A new interpretation of the classic cycling biretta, the Rapha Gentleman’s Cap is designed for the urban riding dandy. Available in three exclusive designs, each cap style boasts its own unique signature features. The Feather cap is made from grey Melton wool and finished with a black grosgrain ribbon stripe down the centre. The Waxed cap, meanwhile, is water resistant, comes with its own enamel pin and is finished with mesh eyelets. The polka dot cap is rendered in a pattern familiar to fans and riders alike and is finished with a satin ribbon. All the caps have fully bound seams and are lined with anti-bacterial tape to wick sweat and keep your head dry.

The Polka dot is the one here for me, call me a Dandy if you will but I love it… I guess you could say we all need a touch of ( like the good brother Al Pacino says in Scarface ) “Flash and Pzazz” in our lives!

Available from now.

New Era Hotness.

May 5, 2009

For those that know me you will know that due to my lack of living follicles atop my head I tend to wear a cap most of the time as that is a better look for me than what I like to call “the Fryer Tuck.”

This cap is what I have ben looking for, a kind of ‘cool’ version of the cycling cap. Short visor, flexible bucrum and a snap back… Perfect! Well it would be if it was available outside Japan.

Lucky for me I work for the comapny who produces this cap and a quick email has snagged me one of these babies. Yesss!

The New Era Mackdaddy Umpire 505.
Not technically a cycling cap but I reckon it would do the job just nice.

This is quite possibly the baddest cap I have ever seen up to this point.
