This is what happens when a degenerate tries to steal your bike by using the frame as leverage against a u-lock. I am saying… Dude what is to be gained from ruining the frame your trying to steal?

I hope the perp of this crime rots in the flames of hell.

TomoniLove

Japanese brand Tomoni is run by a small collective of very positive and progressive thinking people. Unlike traditional business were the focus is making money and moving units. Tomoni’s goal is to have fun working together as a cooperative to create beautiful bikes and building stronger and healthier communities.

That is one of the nicest head badges I have seen for a while… although good as it is I still rate the Kinfolk design as my number one. Sorry Tomoni! Great decals though.

As an emerging bike-brand, Kinfolk looked to one of Japan’s most respected and established Keirin bike builders in Kusaka to produce and manufacture the brand’s frames. With few possessing the necessary knowledge, patience and understanding required to build a bike of this quality, Kinfolk’s offerings are undoubtedly something that won’t easily escape your mind. Teaming up with another respected entity in bike shop Carnival Tokyo, together the two release a co-branded fixed gear bike featuring a Kinfolk frame and Carnival Tokyo components.

Undefeated La Brea is now holding a contest to win a UNDFTD/CTRS fixed gear bike. The bike was built in Japan by UNDFTD and a Master kierin race bike builder, and is a fully functional 54cm, left side drive bicycle. To enter to win is easy. Just cruise down to the shop on La Brea, buy a Livestrong band for 1 buck, receive a form to enter and win. Of course, all proceeds go toward the research for the cure of cancer. All other UNDFTD locations will have bands and forms in the very near future.

Kinfolk Goodness.

Kinfolk got a new website and what seems to be a batch of new frames.

“After a lot of work, a few flights to Japan and back, many ginger mint mojitos, weeks of jetlag, 43 freshness burgers, and 8 inches of beard, we’re happy to officially launch the Kinfolk Bicycle co. We are deeply honored and very grateful to work with Kusaka ( Vivalo ) in bringing these frames to the world. For someone of his caliber to trust us with his handiwork is an honor.”

“Containing decades of frame building experience, and made to the exacting specifications of Keirin track racing, these bikes are functional and built to last. In addition, we wanted these bikes to be beautiful as well. From the brass headbadges designed by Marco Hernandez, paint by Coat and Colorworks, to the graphics by Way&Means, no expense was spared in making them look as good as possible.”

Good on you Kinfolk… Your frames are looking super mighty and I am feeling them. I’ll take two please!
