The saga continues.

February 16, 2010

Hello Mr. Wilson,
My name is Joseph Halbert, and I am an intern at LIVESTRONG headquarters in Austin, Texas. We are interested in learning more about your LambStrong shirts, as they seem to have become an internet phenomenon. In particular, we are interested in their origin and purpose. Any information you can provide would be helpful and appreciated.

Hilarious and controversial, I love it.

Read more about this internet phenomenon here, here and here. For lovers and for haters of Lance this is seriously worth a read, actually probably more for haters. Not haters as in the American term of haters but more like real hatred. Gosh, enough rambling already dude, damn.

For the love of the game.

Nike 6.0 sponsored BMX rider Nigel Sylvester is shown in this video ripping up the streets all day with some urban freestyle riding. Working with Hypebeast blogger and photographer 13thWitness, this video was made ‘for the love of the Game’ which I’m sure you’ll agree is the best and most authentic way to do it.

London to Paris

Massan at 1m 45s – I hate using these abbreviations but I LMFAO!

Nike rides out.

Fixed gear bikes. English countryside. Hills. Lots of hills. Unexpected hills. Flat tires. Wrong turns. Fish and chips. Cows.

Starting in London, the crew mounted their bikes en route to Dieppe, France. The first challenge was first to get out of the cramped downtown city, with threatening cars and unknown traffic signals. With London superboy, Superted leading the pack, they navigated their way out easily and soon found themselves breathing fresher air and seeing greener pastures.

Undefeated La Brea is now holding a contest to win a UNDFTD/CTRS fixed gear bike. The bike was built in Japan by UNDFTD and a Master kierin race bike builder, and is a fully functional 54cm, left side drive bicycle. To enter to win is easy. Just cruise down to the shop on La Brea, buy a Livestrong band for 1 buck, receive a form to enter and win. Of course, all proceeds go toward the research for the cure of cancer. All other UNDFTD locations will have bands and forms in the very near future.

Nike Fixed Sneakers.

March 9, 2009

Not sure what these are called but I know they are based on the Nike Tiempo football sneaker.

I am into them. I know I have said that Vans Aunthentics are the only shoes I will wear but my feet will probably say something completely different.

I have been thinking about wearing something like an Adidas Gazelle or a Samba for a while but the colours are not doing it for me, however with these I could be tempted… Stiff sole unit, durable materials and most importantly a padded toe box.

Each shoe is designed by a rider from a City; Tokyo, SF, NYC, Paris, Berlin, Austin and London and are penned to be released this summer.

New 6.0 from Nike

January 30, 2009

Unlike other 6.0 shoes this, the Drifter appears much more slimline and simple looking.

The 6.0 series is aimed at and intended for BMX so I am guessing that Nike have realised that the skinny jeans wearing ‘extreme’ types don’t get on too well with the ‘typical’ offerings like perhaps the Mogan and have opted for something a little more forgiving on the foot and on the eye.

Well done Nike, these are nice.

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Nike ACG will be releasing a bag collection. The collection consists of messenger bags and backpacks, all featuring the super hard wearing ripstop upper. Of course the bags have been infused with a lot of technical features and details, just like we are used to seeing from ACG. Release dates unfortunately not available yet. Peeped over at Highsnobiety
Also check out the Nike ACG x Pendleton messenger bag… Hot!
