Obree inspires.

May 24, 2011

These photos were taken from an Obree fanatic’s tumblr spot and as you go through his pages you’ll just how much of a fanatic he is. The guy is an absolute genius and you too will believe this once you see what he himself has built.

Hard Rossin Pursuit.

March 21, 2011

Believe it or not, this Rossin pursuit actually started out as a road frame. It came into possession of the talented and dedicated designer/artist/fabricator named Olli Erkkila, and he was inspired to recreate it as a lo-pro… read more

Whether or not this bike is a hack-job, it looks absolutely rad as f***ing hell and I have to give big shouts to Oli, the brain behind such a killer machine.

I wonder how hard it is too web the joints like this? *reaches for fibreglass and hacksaw* No seriously, I am going to try this… my TT frame cost me very little so a bit of R&D won’t hurt too much.

RIH Track Hotness.

December 19, 2010

Mr. Wim van der Kaaij told that this unconventional track bike was built after Graeme Obree broke Francesco Mosers hour record on a home built bike in 1993. Mr. van der Kaaij keeps it in his shop for historical reasons although he calls it “ugly and heavy”.

Is that a fork crown? Nice.

Keith Anderson Flickr Grips.

October 27, 2010

Damn, I’d love to see that orange pursuit bike in it’s entirety… The toptube looks pretty crazy, as does the aero webbing at the seat cluster.

Go check out Keith Anderson’s Flickrspot. There is a lot of focus on custom paintjobs but have a sift and you might find some buried bike treasure.

August 18, 2010

Yes, Jeremy* you did it! Can’t believe you smashed out a five hour ride on it though, you must be Loco!

The Duell still looking good and might I say I am glad (although it is not mine anymore) that you did it this way and not that way…. am I Jealous? Of course not. Well maybe a little bit.

… It’s on it’s way!

My ( actually, it isn’t mine anymore ) 1989 Duell track pursuit is on it’s way to NYC. Jeremy, look after it and I hope you get as much enjoyment out of riding it as I did.

This is my pal Simon’s most recent build and I think you’ll agree that it’s a fine one. Simon, what’s the deal with your next level penchant for TT/Pusuit bikes man!? What’s this one, number four? five?

Cycle Sports.

January 29, 2010

Taken from the book entitled ‘Cycling and cycle sports’ by DK publications.

Quite an interesting book for the novice and also a lot of amusing pictures of what appear to be 80s cyclists too. Look out for the triathlete… Wow is all I am saying!

14 Killing it…

December 7, 2009

… With this.

What an absolute pearl of a bicycle and made out of custom drawn aero ( Christ I have used that word a few times today havn’t I? ) steel tubing too. Damn!

This frame was initially an experiment to see how far we could push the boundaries and capabilities of 14 Bike Co’s resources. Andy at FGLDN based the concept on a couple of frames he had owned in the past. This is a frame that is all about the details…
